President Obama continues to lie to the American people with the sycophantic collusion of the State-controlled Mainstream Media. With all the arrogance of history’s best liars: Stalin, Mao, Chavez, he touts absurd token “cuts” in the budget while opening the veins of the American economy to bleed our future. Just one of his thousand cuts is the $161.3 million he is borrowing from the Chinese to give to the National Endowment for the Arts. The NEA, at it’s best makes grants to well-funded organizations which could easily stand on their own. But the NEA also funds avant garde artists who could never stand on their own becasue their work is not art and no one in ther right mind would pay a cent for it. Of course, Obama pays millions–millions he has borrowed from the Chinese.  Here are a few of the generally offensive garbage projects we are going into hock for.

 The NEA has used tax dollars to subsidize pornography, sadomasochism, and other forms of indecency. Here are some selected examples:

•In 1995, the NEA-funded “Highways,” a venue featuring a summer “Ecco Lesbo/Ecco Homo” festival in Santa Monica, California. The festival featured a program actually called “Not for Republicans” in which a performance artist ruminated on “Sex with Newt’s Mom.” The artistic director was Tim Miller (of the “NEA Four”). Former Clinton adviser Paul Begala agreed that items in the published schedule were obscene.65

•NEA grants announced in December 1996 included $20,000 to the “Woolly Mammoth Theater” venue for Tim Miller, one of the “NEA Four” performance artists. He had stripped twice, talked about picking up homosexual prostitutes, and asked members of the audience to blow on his genitals in a 1995 production entitled “Naked Breath.” The NEA also awarded $25,000 to “Camera News, Inc.,” also known as “Third World Newsreel,” a New York distributor of Marxist revolutionary propaganda films.66

•In June 1996, Representative Hoekstra raised questions about “The Watermelon Woman.” The film was funded by a $31,500 NEA grant. It contained what one review described as the “hottest dyke sex scene ever recorded on celluloid.” “I had high hopes that Jane Alexander would forbid further outrages by the NEA, but apparently even she—nice lady that she is—lacks the power and the will to put an end to the NEA’s obsession with handing out the taxpayers’ money to self-proclaimed `artists’ whose mentality is just so much flotsam floating around in a sewer,” said Senator Jesse Helms.67

•Hilton Kramer, in a March 1996 issue of The New York Observer, noted a new “disgusting” Whitney exhibition he characterized as a “jolly rape of the public sensibilities.” The Whitney was showing the work of Edward Kienholz, and “it almost goes without saying that this America-as-a merde [French for excrement] show is supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.” The Whitney Museum recently received the largest grant issued by the NEA thus far in 1997—$400,000.

•The Sunday Maine-Telegram, reported on March 3, 1996, that William L. Pope, a Professor at Bates College, received $20,000 grant in the final round of NEA grants to individual performance artists. He intended to use the money for at least two projects. In one, he would chain himself to an ATM machine in New York City wearing only his underwear. In the other, he “plans to walk the streets of New York wearing a six-foot-long white tube like a codpiece. He’s rigged it up so he can put an egg in one end, and it will roll out the faux, white penis.” The Maine-Telegram noted that the NEA individual fellowship program “will go out with a bang, at least with this grant.”

•”Sex Is,” a pornographic video displaying the NEA credit, is still in distribution.

•Bob Flanagan’s “Super Masochist,” featuring sexual torture, and an Andres Serrano exhibit featuring “Piss Christ” were shown at the NEA-funded New Museum in New York City. Flanagan (now deceased) was recently the star of a film at the Sundance Film Festival entitled “Sick,” which showed him nailing his male organs to a wooden plank. “Sick” is also on the 1997 schedule of the New Directors/New Films series co-sponsored by the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Both institutions have been NEA grant recipients, and Lincoln Center chief Nathan Leventhal is one of President Clinton’s nominees for the National Council on the Arts. His nomination is pending in the Senate.

•Ron Athey’s video of his ritual torture and bloodletting, subsidized indirectly through tour promotion at NEA venues like Walker Art Gallery and PS 122 in New York. (Walker Art Center grants actually increased in the year after the museum booked Athey.)

•Joel-Peter Witkin, a four-time recipient of NEA individual fellowships whose photograph of severed heads and chopped up bodies were displayed by Senator Helms on the Senate floor two years ago as evidence of the moral corruption of the NEA (Helms discussed one featuring a man’s head being used as a flowerpot). Witkin was honored with a retrospective at New York’s NEA-funded Guggenheim museum. Even The New York Times condemned the show as “gruesome.”

•Karen Finley, also of the “NEA Four,” brought her new “performance piece” to an NEA-funded venue in Boston.

•Holly Hughes, another of the “NEA Four” (and recipient of a 1994 individual fellowship), brought her act to an NEA-funded institution in suburban Virginia.

•New York City’s New Museum, an NEA-funded operation, hosted a retrospective of the work of Andres Serrano, which once more included an exhibit of “Piss Christ.”

•New York’s Museum of Modern Art, funded by the NEA, hosted an NEA-funded exhibit of Bruce Nauman’s work, also displayed at the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum, which included neon signs reading “S— and Die” and “F— and Die.”

•The NEA literature program subsidized the author of a book entitled The Gay 100, which claims that such historical figures as Saint Augustine were homosexuals.

Across the expanse of Islam’s rotting cities, hopelessly failed economies, and backward, medieval social systems there is often heard the anemic and slightly effeminate outcry against the decadent West with it’s permissive societies ridden with porn and prostitutes. Arabic is the 2nd most common language that is used to search for “gay sex.” It’s the number one language for search involving “sexy.” As you can see in that same graph, Iran is at 3 and Egypt is at 4, listed under regions where search on “sexy” was most conducted.

Arabic is the 2nd most common language that is used to search for “gay man.” The countries that most search for this is currently Malaysia (#1) and Indonesia (#2). For “gay girl,” Arabic is also the 2nd most common language.

For “child porn,” Turkey is the 2nd country where this is most searched. Turkish is the #1 language used.

Turkey has one of the most searches for the word “porno.” Morocco is at 5. Turkish is #1 language used to conduct the search in. Indonesia is currently #1 country that search for the word “vagina.”

Turkey is not an Arab country, nor are some of the other countries I listed. But they are Muslim, so I thought the findings were fascinating to say the least. All of this information is not in the least bit shocking, but it’s quite ironic.

Here’s something American media are virtually guaranteed to not report: a British court has determined that Al Gore’s schlockumentary “An Inconvenient Truth” contains at least eleven material falsehoods.

It seems a safe bet Matt Lauer and Diane Sawyer won’t be discussing this Tuesday morning, wouldn’t you agree?

For those that haven’t been following this case, a British truck driver filed a lawsuit to prevent the airing of Gore’s alarmist detritus in England’s public schools.According to the website of the political party the plaintiff, Stewart Dimmock, belongs to (ecstatic emphasis added throughout, h/t Marc Morano):

In order for the film to be shown, the Government must first amend their Guidance Notes to Teachers to make clear that 1.) The Film is a political work and promotes only one side of the argument. 2.) If teachers present the Film without making this plain they may be in breach of section 406 of the Education Act 1996 and guilty of political indoctrination. 3.) Eleven inaccuracies have to be specifically drawn to the attention of school children.

How marvelous. And what are those inaccuracies?

• * The film claims that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro evidence global warming. The Government’s expert was forced to concede that this is not correct.
• * The film suggests that evidence from ice cores proves that rising CO2 causes temperature increases over 650,000 years. The Court found that the film was misleading: over that period the rises in CO2 lagged behind the temperature rises by 800-2000 years.
• * The film uses emotive images of Hurricane Katrina and suggests that this has been caused by global warming. The Government’s expert had to accept that it was “not possible” to attribute one-off events to global warming.
• * The film shows the drying up of Lake Chad and claims that this was caused by global warming. The Government’s expert had to accept that this was not the case.
• * The film claims that a study showed that polar bears had drowned due to disappearing arctic ice. It turned out that Mr Gore had misread the study: in fact four polar bears drowned and this was because of a particularly violent storm.
• * The film threatens that global warming could stop the Gulf Stream throwing Europe into an ice age: the Claimant’s evidence was that this was a scientific impossibility.
• * The film blames global warming for species losses including coral reef bleaching. The Government could not find any evidence to support this claim.
• * The film suggests that the Greenland ice covering could melt causing sea levels to rise dangerously. The evidence is that Greenland will not melt for millennia.
• * The film suggests that the Antarctic ice covering is melting, the evidence was that it is in fact increasing.
• * The film suggests that sea levels could rise by 7m causing the displacement of millions of people. In fact the evidence is that sea levels are expected to rise by about 40cm over the next hundred years and that there is no such threat of massive migration.
• * The film claims that rising sea levels has caused the evacuation of certain Pacific islands to New Zealand. The Government are unable to substantiate this and the Court observed that this appears to be a false claim.

In the end, a climate change skeptic in the States must hope that an American truck driver files such a lawsuit here so that a U.S. judge can make similar determinations.

Of course, even if one could find such an impartial jurist, our media wouldn’t find it newsworthy, would they?

Every day, the headlines scream with some new threat from the American Civil Liberties Union. I believe it’s important to look behind the curtain and discover the origins of groups and organizations to better understand their activities.

The ACLU was founded in the 1920s by Roger Baldwin and Crystal Eastman, described as a “progressive” and “the perfect feminist.”
Earl Browder was general secretary of the Communist Party of the United States from 1930 through its dissolution in 1944. When the party was reconstituted as the Communist Political Association later that year, Browder was chosen as its president. Browder proudly proclaimed that the ACLU functioned as “a transmission belt” for the party. To deny the ACLU’s founding was attached at the hip to communist organizations is to deny what can easily be proven as truth.

For the past few decades, the ACLU has been on a major crusade to destroy Christianity in America, promote filth under “freedom of speech and expression,” and of course, vigorously defend the homosexual culture of death. On Jan. 10, 1963, Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr., D-Fla., read a list of 45 communist goals into the Congressional Record. Below are the communist goals being implemented by the ACLU in their quest to destroy America’s culture and traditions:

• * Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
• * Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
• * Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings,” substituting shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.
• * Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
• * Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
• * Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and television.
• * Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural and healthy.”
• * Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”
• * Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
• * Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of “the big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the communists took over. Obliterating the American past, with its antecedents in principles of freedom, liberty and private ownership is a major goal of the communists then and now.
• * Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
• * Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

Anyone who has been following the destructive path of the ACLU can easily see how effective these communist goals have been implemented to “promote democracy” and protect your “civil rights.” Lenin stated: “Communism alone is capable of providing really complete democracy.” (See Tucker, “The Lenin Anthology”). James Madison, known as the “Father of the Constitution” had something different to say about a democracy:

Democracy is the most vile form of government … democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention, have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property, and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.

Perhaps it’s time to recognize the ACLU as the American Communist Lawyers Union instead of their disingenuous “civil rights” stage name.

No organization can exist without memberships and funding. It is inconceivable to me how anyone who claims to be a Christian, lawyer or layman, could belong to such an anti-American organization as the ACLU. Burn your card and get out. Organizations like Working Assets, tobacco companies and big corporations all donate to the ACLU, which in turn uses that money to buy the favors of those who serve in Congress – who vote to unconstitutionally fund the activities of the ACLU under the Civil Rights Attorney’s Fees Awards Act of 1976.

If Americans really want to put the ACLU out of business, remove yourself as a member of their organization, boycott companies that donate to them and demand these public servants in Congress repeal the unconstitutional funding of this subversive organization.

There is no justification under Art. 1, Sec. 8, to steal from the people’s treasury to give money to the ACLU or any other organization for “civil rights” lawsuits. Your Congress critter will be in your district during the month of December – make the most of it.

Police found details of the discussions on a site run by one of a three-strong “cyber-terrorist” gang.

A Pakistani journalist was invited to attend and take pictures as some 300 recruits, including boys as young as 12, were supposedly sent off on their suicide missions.

The tape shows Taliban military commander Mansoor Dadullah, whose brother was killed by the U.S. last month, introducing and congratulating each team as they stood.

“These Americans, Canadians, British and Germans come here to Afghanistan from faraway places,” Dadullah says on the tape. “Why shouldn’t we go after them?”

The leader of the team assigned to attack Great Britain spoke in English.

“So let me say something about why we are going, along with my team, for a suicide attack in Britain,” he said. “Whether my colleagues, companions and Muslim brothers die today or tonight, every drop of our blood will invigorate the Muslim (unintelligible).”

U.S. intelligence officials described the event as another example of “an aggressive and sophisticated propaganda campaign.”

Others take it very seriously.

“It doesn’t take too many who are willing to actually do it and be able to slip through the net and get into the United States or England and cause a lot of damage,” said ABC News consultant Richard Clarke, the former White House counterterrorism official.

Surely receiving well wishes from the likeminded in all the lowest levels of Hell, Robert Mugabe, the cancer that has brought the once proud and prosperous nation of Zimbabwe to it’s knees, spent more than one million US dollars on a party to celebrate his 83rd brithday. To say exactly how much this sickening indulgence cost in the national currency is impossible because with annual inflation of 1600% the cost for the party will actually increase notably between the time it starts and ends. 

Mr. Burke wonders if there is an honest man left in the Zimbabwean army who could possibly give a gift to the people of Zimbabwe who have suffered under the demonic reign of this idiot for far too long.  Will someone do the world a favor and send this fool to his eternal reward!

A Zimbabwean student, who asked to remain anonymous, told the BBC News website how she copes with living in a country with runaway inflation.

According to official figures, Zimbabwe’s annual inflation rate now stands at 1593% - the world’s highest.

The cost of absolutely everything in Zimbabwe has gone up. I am a student and my bus to the campus has trebled in price in the last two months. The cost of a meal has increased tenfold.

Most people have had to remove bread, milk, meat and eggs from their daily diets as these things are just too expensive now.

The implications of this rise in inflation are very serious. What it really means is the poor are getting even poorer.

1.  THE JIHAD ISN’T ABOUT THE WAR IN IRAQ.

In 1979 America’s president was Jimmy Carter.  By undermining the Shah, Carter had helped the Islamic revolutionaries to sieze power in Iran. Yet one million Iranians,  organized by the revolutionary Islamic regime, filled the streets of Tehran chanting “Death to America.”

 2.  THE JIHAD ISN’T ABOUT ISRAEL.

Significant Jihad groups can be found today in Indonesia, the Phillippines, Thailand, Kashmir, Chechnya, Nigeria, and other countries that have no conceivable quarrel with Israel.  Even the Jihadis’ quarrel with Israel is not about borders or “occupation” but about the expulsion of all non-Islamic peoples from the Middle East. 

3. THE JIHAD ISN’T ABOUT AMERICA.

Long before American troops entered Afganistan and Iraq, the first modern Jihad movement, the Muslim Brotherhood, was founded in Egypt in 1928.  The Jihad ideology that fuels modern terror activity is identical to the Jihad ideology that justified Islam’s aggressive wars for centuries before America existed.

4. THE GOAL OF JIHAD IS WORLD DOMINATION.

The creation of a unified Islamic state, which will ultimately encompass the globe, is the stated goal of Jihad.

5. THE IDEOLOGY OF THE JIHAD TERRORISTS IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN ISLAM.

Today’s jihadis use the Qur’an and the words and deeds of Muhammad to justify their actions.  They present their views as ”pure Islam,” and convince many Muslims that that’s what it is.

6.  THE JIHAD IDEOLOGY DEMANDS THE KILLING OF “INFIDELS” (NON-MUSLIMS) OR THEIR CONVERSION TO ISLAM OR THEIR SUBJUGATION AS INFERIORS UNDER ISLAMIC LAW.

All the orthodox sects of Sunni and Shi’ite Islam, as well as all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, teach the necessity of Jihad warfare and the subjugation of non-Muslims under Islamic law.  Non-Muslims are denied equality of rights under that law in numerous ways.

7.  THE JIHAD IS ADVANCING THROUGH SUBVERSION AS WELL AS VIOLENT MEANS.

Attempts to compel Western governments to adopt laws outlawing blasphemy in the wake of the Danish cartoon riots are part of a larger effort to bring Islamic law to the West and to subordinate its Christian, Jewish, and secular populations to Islam.

8.  THE JIHAD IDEOLOGY INSTITUTIONALIZES THE OPPRESSION OF WOMEN.

Islamic law legalizes wife-beating, denies the equality of a woman’s testimony with that of a man, mandates that women are not even to leave the house without permission, along with numerous other oppressive regulations.

9.  THE JIHAD IDEOLOGY INSTITUTIONALIZES THE OPPRESSION OF NON-MUSLIMS.

Under the traditional Islamic law that Jihadis fight to restore, non-Muslims must pay a special tax, not hold authority over Muslims, not build or repair their houses of worship, and many other regulations designed that the “feel themselves subdued” (Qur’an 9:29)

10.  THE JIHAD IS A THREAT TO ALL FREE PEOPLE.

The Jihad ideology denies freedom of conscience.  Jihadis take to heart Muhammad’s dictum, “If anyone changes his religion, kill him,” and deny Muslims any freedom to convert or have no religion at all.  The Jihadis would extinguish equality of the sexes, equality of rights before the law, freedom of conscience, and more.  All free people should resist them.

According to a report in the UK Sun, some Scientology leaders believe Tom Cruise is the “Christ of Scientology“. Flabbergasted after reading such a claim, we decided to send a group of undercover agents to investigate the dark recesses of the Los Angeles Church of Scientology in order to seek clues. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and we obtained it! Our wily agents gained entrance into the fortress by feigning interest in being “audited” and were quickly able to escape unnoticed into the darkness of the church basement. Prying open the safe, our agents were shocked to discover Leopold Da Vinnie’s famous painting, “The Scientologist’s Last Supper“. It clearly shows Tom Cruise as Christ, but leaves several other questions unanswered. For instance, who is the mysterious woman seated to His left and why is she smiling like that? Could she be his…gasp…wife? Is that a Jenny Craig-approved cupcake Kirstie Alley is grabbing? John  is wearing loafers and he’s floating - what does this mean? How did Will Smith get mixed up with this bunch? So many questions, so few answers.

MOGADISHU (Reuters) - A U.S. attack plane killed many people with barrages of gunfire in a remote Somali village occupied by Islamists thought to be hiding at least one al Qaeda suspect, a Somali government source said on Tuesday.
 
 In the first known direct U.S. military intervention in Somalia since a failed peacekeeping mission that ended in 1994, an C-130 plane rained gunfire on the desolate southern village of Hayo near the Kenyan border late on Monday.
 
 ”I understand there are so many dead bodies and animals in the village,” the senior source told Reuters.

No More Bin Laden “Love-fests” for Somalia

Last jihadist stronghold in Somalia captured Ras Kamboni, at the southernmost tip of Somalia, has been a stronghold for jihadist activity and a conduit for al-Qaeda for a number of years, as illustrated by this BBC report from December, 2001. Its capture is a significant victory.

MOGADISHU, Somalia - Ethiopian-backed government forces captured the last remaining stronghold of the Islamic movement in southern Somalia, the Somali defense minister said Friday, hours after warlords met with the president and promised to enlist their militiamen in the army.
The southern town of Ras Kamboni fell after five days of heavy fighting, Defense Minister Col. Barre “Hirale” Aden Shire told The Associated Press. He said government troops backed by Ethiopian forces and MiG fighter jets chased fleeing Islamic fighters into nearby forests and the fighting would continue. He did not give casualty figures.
Ras Kamboni is in a rugged coastal area a few miles from the Kenyan border. It is not far from the site of a U.S. airstrike Monday targeting suspected al-Qaida militants — the first U.S. offensive in Somalia since 18 American soldiers were killed here in 1993.
The report of the town’s fall came after Somalia’s warlords met with President Abdullahi Yusuf in the capital of Mogadishu and pledged to disarm their militias, a major step toward bringing calm to this city after years of chaos.

Europe’s botched civilization, perverted by socialism and lost faith, seems to have lost the will, the passion to sustain itself. If it continues to practice today’s multiculturalist leftism, Europe’s demographic doom will be sealed. Some harbingers:

In Brussels, Belgium, the most popular name for baby boys is now Mohammad. Sustaining the population of a nation requires that on average each couple gives birth to 2.1 children. The average European couple now has fewer than 1.4 babies, compared to 3.6 babies born to the average Muslim immigrant couple in Europe. Across Western Europe 16 to 20 percent of babies are being born into Muslim families.
In France at least 12 percent of the population is already Muslim, the fruits mostly of immigrants from former French colonies in North Africa. If present birth trends continue, by 2030 a quarter of France’s people will be Muslim, more than enough to determine who controls the national parliament and executive. As this columnist recently noted, the nuclear-armed French military is already 15 percent Muslim. Adjacent Switzerland is now 20 percent Muslim.
