Ah yes, The Crusades…so this is all our fault anyway, right?
Muslims love talking about the Crusades… and Christians love apologizing for them. To hear both parties tell the story, one would believe that Muslims were just peacefully minding their own business in lands that were legitimately Muslim, when Christian armies decided to wage holy war and “kill millions.”
Every part of this myth is a lie. By the rules that Muslims claim for themselves, the Crusades were perfectly justified, and the excesses (though beneath Christian standards) pale in comparison with the historical treatment of conquered populations at the hands of Muslims.
Here are some quick facts…
The first Crusade began in 1095… 460 years after the first Christian city was overrun by Muslim armies, 457 years after Jerusalem was conquered by Muslim armies, 453 years after Egypt was taken by Muslim armies, 443 after Muslims first plundered Italy, 427 years after Muslim armies first laid siege to the Christian capital of Constantinople, 380 years after Spain was conquered by Muslim armies, 363 years after France was first attacked by Muslim armies, 249 years after Rome itself was sacked by a Muslim army, and only after centuries of church burnings, killings, enslavement and forced conversions of Christians.
By the time the Crusades finally began, Muslim armies had conquered two-thirds of the Christian world.
Europe had been harassed by Muslims since the first few years following Muhammad’s death. As early as 652, Muhammad’s followers launched raids on the island of Sicily, waging a full-scale occupation 200 years later that lasted well over two centuries and was punctuated by massacres, such as that at the town of Castrogiovanni, in which 8,000 Christians were put to death. In 1084, ten years before the first crusade, Muslims staged another devastating Sicilian raid, burning churches in Reggio, enslaving monks and raping an abbey of nuns before carrying them into captivity.
In theory, the Crusades were provoked by the harassment of Christian pilgrims from Europe to the Holy Land, in which many were kidnapped, molested, forcibly converted to Islam or even killed. (Compare this to Islam’s justification for slaughter on the basis of Muslims being denied access to the Meccan pilgrimage in Muhammad’s time).
The Crusaders only invaded lands that were Christian. They never attacked Saudi Arabia or sacked Mecca as the Muslims had done (and continued doing) to Italy and Constantinople.
The period of Crusader “occupation” (of its own former land) was stretched over less than two centuries. The Muslim occupation is in its 1,372nd year.
The period of Crusader “aggression” compresses to about 20 years of actual military campaign, much of which was spent on organization and travel. (They were from 1098-1099, 1146-1148, 1188-1192, 1201-1204, 1218-1221, 1228-1229, and 1248-1250). By comparison, the Muslim Jihad against the island of Sicily alone lasted 75 grinding years.
Unlike Jihad, the Crusades were never justified on the basis of New Testament teachings. This is why they are an anomaly, the punctuation of fourteen centuries of relentless Jihad that began long before the Crusades and continued well after they were over.
The greatest crime of the Crusaders was the sacking of Jerusalem, in which 30,000 people were said to have been massacred. This number is dwarfed by the number of Jihad victims, from India to Constantinople and Narbonne, but Muslims have never apologized for their crimes and never will.
What is called ’sin and excess’ by other religions, is what Islam refers to as the will of Allah.

Although I do agree with certain things, this site contains a large percentage of bullshit. Yes, Islam is an evil religion as are all organized religions. It is most definitely not a religion of peace, but more like a religion of death and suicide. Everytime I see a Muslim woman with a head scarf in my city I want to rip it off her head and throw her in the gutter. HOWEVER, this is a right wing leaning site. And that is a shame because there are plenty of democrats like myself that agree with you about Islam but hate the fact that you have Bush and GOP nutjob links on your site. America can be seen as the inheriter of Greco-Roman culture and civilization in many aspects of culture, but most notiably in the jurisprudence that first defined Europe and then was refined and embodied in the US Constitution. A direct line can be traced connecting these cultures. Such a direct line does not exist with Far Eastern, Asiatic, or Meso-American cultures. America has inherited the cultural legacy of Europe and the ancient classical civilizations.
Lourdes, it is obvious that you hate America, but as I have traveled widely–to more than 60 countries–I do not find your viewed shared by anyone except leftist, pseudo-intellectual self-appointed-elites who pine for the glory days of Stalin and Mao where millions were slaughtered for the secular state. I feel sure you are a Marxist and seethe with hatred to realize that America has provide health, happiness, and prosperity for more of its citizens than any State in human history. Your historical background for teh Crusades was enlightening. Your willingness to own the fact that some of the Crusaders behaved in a way that was less than Christian is admirable. Your insightful commetns regarding the good that did come from the Crusades is helpful.
There are many good Christians and many good Muslims. The world needs a prophet at this time in history willing to bring the two sides together in peaceful harmony. If the mentality of ‘jihad’ (i.e. holy war) does continue then war will be the only legacy we leave our children when each one of us must go to meet our Maker, whatever name we give the Divine One.

The universe is a huge entity stretching 14 billion years x 2 trillion miles (distance light travels in one year). Just in the Milky Way alone, there is an estimated 1 billion planets. In this immensity, there must be many life forms who like Homo Sapiens - exercise Free Will. While there is only one God of the universe, there is for mankind (homo sapiens) two dramatically different conceptions of God – there is God and then there is ALLAH (THE ANTI – GOD).
CONCEPTION OF GOD
For most of mankind - there is God - the Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Glorious Exalted Creator of the Universe, a God of All Peace, Love, Goodness and Mercy - an All Wise, All Loving God for all mankind.

Man’s natural concept of God, is a conception of Peace and Love, Goodness and Mercy, an All Wise, All Loving God for all mankind. All human beings are created in the image of God. All mankind is created equal and all their lives are precious and sacred to God. As the Omniscient Omnipotent Glorious Exalted Creator of the Universe and all living things - God is PERFECT.
As PERFECTION, God is the embodiment of All Peace and Love. GOD is Anti – War. All war and violence are abhorrent to God – an affront to the intelligence He bestowed on mankind. God never intervened in any battle, never lead an army into battle, changed the weather allowing (His) side to be victorious or any other form of divine intervention etc. There is no - “His” side”.
God is a non - religious entity. For God, there exists no concept of believers or non – believers, no chosen people. There is no one truth - no such thing as the one and only true religion. There are many ways to God. Even a total non - believer can ascend to Heaven provided he does not have an evil soul. Religion was invented by man as a vehicle to allow him to comprehend god. Because man is imperfect then religion is imperfect.
God gave man a Free Will to do Good or Evil, to explore the truth of any question including - His existence. God is not an egotist. God does not demand obedience or adoration. Having given man intelligence, God believes that no man should be ruled by dictators.
All men are created equal. God is not a racist.
God created women as the equal of men. God is not a sexist.
No man is the property of any other man – God is not a slaver.
GOD is not a criminal. He is not a murderer. GOD has never killed or ordered the killing of any human being. He has never sent a storm or other calamity of nature to destroy any human being or city etc. God has never killed or ordered the killing of any human being. If God killed just one human being (or any other alien life form throughout the universe who exercises free will) then God is a murderer and God is no longer God.
While God clearly has the power - He does not have the moral right to destroy the Earth. There are many different ways mankind can go to extinction. The end can come through the actions of man such as a nuclear holocaust, or the invention of a disease. Another way is for a comet to smash into the earth. Global warming could set off natural processes making the Earth uninhabitable leading to extinction. Definitely in 5 billion years, the sun will supernova destroying the earth. If God intervenes in these natural or human processes in any way and destroys the Earth because he is pissed off with Homo Sapiens or any other reason then God is the greatest mass murderer ever and God is no longer God.
ALLAH (THE ANTI – GOD)
For Muslims - there is Allah – the ANTI – GOD.
Allah is the ANTI - GOD worshiped by 1.2 billion Muslims. Allah is the ANTI – GOD of war, murder, killing, death and destruction, violence, rape, slavery, torture, hate, terror, brutality, savagery, maiming, stoning, cutting off limbs, mutilations, looting and pillaging, extortion, sexual depravity, child molestation, intolerance, bigotry, sharia law, oppression and subjugation of women, inferiority of woman, women as instruments of sexual pleasure in paradise, wife beating, honor killings, inequality of infidels, inequality of any human being, that infidels can be murdered and their property stolen as a holy duty, that Muslims who renounce Islam can be killed, that Muslims (or anyone) who challenge the teachings of Islam can be murdered, that believers who slay and are slain in the service of God will ascend to a sexual Paradise of big eyed, big breasted virgins who they can sexually molest for all eternity.
All Muslims believe the Koran is the Eternal divine word of God – the laws of God - that God authored the Koran and a copy of the Koran is in heaven. The Koran remains for all Muslims, not just “fundamentalists,” the uncreated word of God Himself. It is valid for all times and places FOREVER; its ideas are absolutely true and beyond all criticism. To question it is to question the very word of God, and hence blasphemous. A Muslim’s duty is to believe it and obey its divine commands without question.
Muslims can be killed for doing any of the following:
(1) Reviling Allah or his Messenger; (2) being sarcastic about ‘Allah’s name, His command, His interdiction, His promise, or His threat’; (3) denying any verse of the Quran or ‘anything which by scholarly consensus belongs to it, or to add a verse that does not belong to it’; (4) holding that ‘any of Allah’s messengers or prophets are liars, or to deny their being sent’; (5) reviling the religion of Islam; (6) being sarcastic about any ruling of the Sacred Law; (7) denying that Allah intended ‘the Prophet’s message . . . to be the religion followed by the entire world.’
Muslim men who follow the evil teachings of the Koran are not going to Allah’s sexually, depraved Paradise but will lose their eternal souls and join Muhammad and his master Satan in the fires of hell.
The greatest evil that anyone can commit is acts of violence against human beings in the name of and to the greater glory of God. The second greatest evil that can be committed is to preach evil in the name of God inciting violence against human beings.

In order for the Koran to be the divine word of God - every word, every teaching must be PERFECT. Since God is PERFECT every word, every teaching of God – A PERFECT GOD must be PERFECT. If only one word, one teaching is not PERFECTION then the entire Koran is not a work of PERFECTION and therefore not the word/teachings of God. God cannot have some PERFECT teachings and other teachings that are IMPERFECT. In order to be the divine word of God, the entire Koran must be a work of PERFECTION – the PERFECT word/teachings of a PERFECT God. All teachings in the Koran and all Islamic texts (written or verbal) that are not PERFECT – that are not PERFECTION are not the teachings of God - A PERFECT GOD but the teachings of man – the teachings of Muhammad (ALLAH) – THE ANTI - GOD

Islam is a declaration of war against infidels. Islam is an ideology of WAR. The Koran is an EVIL BOOK OF WAR. Allah is a GOD OF WAR. This war is permanent until all the infidels have converted, paid a submission tax or have been murdered. These are the ETERNAL LAW OF ALLAH AS SET DOWN IN THE KORAN
No God who is God would ever preach that killing and murdering of any human being in His name will be rewarded by accession to Paradise. You cannot climb to heaven on the corpses of the murdered. Infidels can be murdered by Muslims as an ETERNAL LAW OF GOD. Not only can they all be murdered but the wives and daughters of the murdered infidels can be taken as booty, raped, and then sold as slaves. That’s right - God permits the raping of female slaves. Indeed in Islam - rape is not a only a sexual weapon – it is a weapon of war. Having murdered the woman’s man, Muslims can now - sanctioned by the law of God complete their final humiliation and domination of her body. Her sons can be sold into slavery. If there is any doubt as to the boy’s age of puberty - Muslims can pull down their pants and inspect their genital area for hairs. Even the slightest sign of hair growth means that these young men can be taken and beheaded. These infidel women can then be bred like cattle and their off spring sold for profit.
As an ETERNAL LAW OF GOD, Muslims can then loot and pillage the property of the murdered infidels, and must share 1/5 of the booty obtained from the sale of boys and women and the proceeds of looting with God. If no violence was involved then Muhammad was allowed by an ETERNAL LAW OF GOD to keep 100% of the looted booty for himself.
Muslims can own slaves as an ETERNAL LAW OF GOD. Slavery has been an integral institutionalized part of Islam since it’s creation by Muhammad. Muhammad owned 40 slaves.
Muhammad was allowed by an ETERNAL LAW OF God to rape his slaves ALL THIS EVIL ARE THE LAWS OF GOD AS SET DOWN IN THE KORAN. Not only that but righteous Muslims who slay and are slain in the service of God can ascend as martyrs to the evil sexually depraved Islamic Paradise of eternal hard - ons and virgins who re - generate as virgins after each sex act. THIS IS THEIR ETERNAL REWARD FOR OBEYING THESE EVIL LAWS OF GOD.
To record in a so called Holy Book – the Koran - teachings of war, slavery, looting, pillaging, hate, terror, etc is a very great evil. Just declaring that such evil teachings in the Koran are the ETERNAL divine word of God is evil incarnate and an obscenity against everything God stands for – a blasphemy and a crime against God himself.
KILLING, MURDER, SLAUGHTER, RAPE, LOOTING ARE ALL CRIMES TO ALL NORMAL RATIONAL HUMAN BEINGS. MURDER IS NOT A MULTI CULTURAL DIFFERENCE. RELIGION IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT THE BEST OF MANKIND NOT THE WORST.
Therefore the Koran is not the word/teachings of God.

NO GOD WHO IS GOD WOULD EVER ALLOW ANY HUMAN BEING TO BE THE SLAVE OF ANOTHER. NO GOD WHO IS GOD WOULD EVER TEACH THAT WOMEN AND CHILDREN CAN BE SOLD INTO SLAVERY AS PROCEEDS OF WAR BOOTY. NO GOD WHO IS GOD WOULD EVER DEMAND THE PROCEEDS OF WAR BOOTY, LOOTING AND PILLAGING. NO GOD WHO IS GOD WOULD EVER TEACH THE RAPE OF SLAVE WOMEN. The above LAWS OF ALLAH destroys Islam’s religious credentials, Muhammad’s authority, and Allah’s credibility. Allah justifying violent criminal acts to satisfy a prophet’s lust for sex and power is unfathomable. If we are to believe Muhammad, Allah approved murder, terror, thievery, and kidnapping for ransom etc. This is immoral. An immoral God cannot be trusted. An immoral deity isn’t worthy of a religion, devotion, sacrifice, or martyrdom. Since God is PERFECTION – He cannot be immoral and still be God. As stated previously, Allah never existed. The immoral, irrational, evil Allah of the Koran was the creation of Muhammad. He created Allah. He created Islam. He created the evil LAWS OF ALLAH. MUHAMMAD WAS ALLAH AND ALLAH WAS M UHAMMAD.
The same is true for an immoral prophet. The only thing more devastating than a man professing situational scriptures to legitimize terror, murder, robbery, and kidnapping for ransom is to lure billions to their doom by implying these words were inspired by God. Islam was nothing more than a cover for immoral sexual depravity and financial gain. Muhammad was a murderous con man.
There have been millions of murderers, millions of kidnappers, millions of terrorists. There have been millions of sexual predators. Thieves are a dime a dozen. And there have been a score of men who have done these things while claiming to be anointed by God. Yet only one invented a “religion” and falsified “scripture” to satiate his demonic cravings. This is why Muhammad, Islam’s lone prophet, qualifies as the most evil man to have ever lived.

Yeah the crusades was the battle for Jerusalem which is taken over by muslims. It should have been a Christian territory for true believers of god. Jesus Christ is the son of god and I truly believe it. I do think that he is are master and we should learn from him what his father wants us to do. First man should not value money but value your family. Man should be faithful, merciful, and righteous. Forgive those that sin against you if they seek to repent. Always do the right thing and read the story of Matthew or any of his followers they will get you started on your journey. I don’t read a lot. I just read about some prophets and I knew that it was enough.

Is there God? Where there is or is not a God seems to be the most trivial questions that surrounds us today and has for many years past. To answer this question we must define God. God by definition is the supreme or ultimate reality, the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of the universe. I do not believe there is a god for that matter alone. The most perfect creation to create such an imperfect word of pain and suffering committed to and by everyone.
God is nonexistent. I do not believe in the phrase “seeing is believing”, but there certainly should be some evidence that there is a higher power at work. Now to clarify the coined term “seeing is believing” this simply means that I can believe in something without seeing it. Take for example a yard. There are ground moles in the yard did I see them? The answer is no. Do I believe that they are there? Yes! Why is that? There is evidence of their existence. The little trails of dirt that have been raised throughout the yards will tell me there is something there; a common culprit (indigenous to the area) leads me to believe they are ground moles. To get back on topic now what evidence if any kind is there to show a proof there is a God or that there is divine intervention by God?
Most people believe in miracles. It is a miracle that he survived that. Miracles are beyond our comprehension and people generally have to explain things in one form or another to prevent the unknown. The unknown is taboo whether it is person, place, thing, physical or not if it is unknown it is considered to be taboo. Taboo simply means a strong social prohibition (or ban) against words, objects, actions, discussions, or people that are considered undesirable or offensive by a group, culture, society, or a community.
Another thing that proves the theory of god’s inability to exist is the commandments. This is a man made doctrine to shape or mold society to standards deemed right to live by so society has a common ground or a morally correct way to live in harmony with one another. A commandment to support this is “thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife”. Since wife revolves around men seeing that is who they marry are women incapable of this sin? No, they are not incapable of this, but in the days in which this was written women had no say in things they were merely there to raise the family and to please the husband.
Believers will say, “Without God, nothing would be able to exist”. How do we know nothing would exist? God has been the center of everything involving creation and a divine plan set into motion.
Commandments, as stated before, are not divine laws set forth by a supreme being but merely a doctrine of moral laws made by man to shape society. This is the way they are written and to be followed the commandments as we will get into later show qualities of imperfect beings not of a Supreme perfect creator and ruler of a universe.
One of the most well known proofs of god’s existence is through miracles. Miracles are nothing more than a way to describe the unknown in a tangible way to identify that which is unknown. An example of this is surviving a car crash where you are impaled by an object. There is nothing that is a miracle about this. Medically explained the pipe keeps you alive by stopping or tremendously slowing the bleeding. The pole as it enters the body in a soft tissue will push things out of the way due to its size and force displacing the other things (organs and tissues) in the way. The doctors then treat and operate on the person as the pole is removed, thus the patient survives. I believe that things happen for a reason and that what now days is seen as a miracle is nothing more than an unfound truth that has yet to be discovered about the capabilities of the human race as a whole.
Jean-Paul Sartre (1905 –1980) “Existence Precedes Essence” provides support to this which means “you are what you make of yourself”. And goes on to state, “a human being, unlike an inanimate object or a vegetable, is a self-aware or conscious subject that creates its own future” He is simply stating that to exist is to have an essence. There is no essence if there was no existence and that there is no divine control and that we mankind in general have a free will to make our future and shape them according to what it is we do in life.
People are willed to do whatever suits them the greatest reward to preserve their existence whether it is through greatness, power, or glory. We have one main drive and that is to procreate so that our legacy lives on through our children and so on. The other quest that is imbedded is that of everlasting life which can be achieved according to the bible by believing in God.
Are the problems that are faced everyday by people and humanity in general just entertainment or is there something that God has in the catastrophes for us to be guided to him further by? Doubtful that the creator of everything would create such an imperfect world to have us learn from when it could be given to us to use and harmonize with one another in a peaceful coexistence of all things.
Friedrich Nietzsche’s (1844 –1900) “Will-to –Power” was another great topic. Everything according to Nietzsche is driven by the will-to-power (will-to-live). He states that it is the underlying motivation of human behavior. This is seen in everyday life as one person can take advantage of another to get them self further ahead to secure a spot in tomorrow to continue one’s own existence.
The 1st Commandment illustrates jealousy. This commandment states, “You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I The Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate Me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love Me and keep My Commandments”. With that commandment it portrays less than perfect qualities. Why is the perfect being jealous of anything? It was all created by God therefore there should be no jealousies as we are imperfect and cannot measure to his standards of perfection.
The 2nd commandment shows anger, spite, and threats. “You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.” “This commandment prohibits not just swearing but also the misappropriation of religious language in order to commit a crime, participating in occult practices, and blaspheming against places or people that are holy to God.” So if a person does anything of this nature they will not be forgiven by God and shall be condemned to the gates of hell.
St. Thomas Aquinas – 5 statements of divine qualities were as follows:
1. God is simple, without composition of parts, such as body and soul, or matter and form.
2. God is perfect, lacking nothing. That is, God is distinguished from other beings on account of God’s complete actuality.
3. God is infinite. That is, God is not finite in the ways that created beings are physically, intellectually, and emotionally limited. This infinity is to be distinguished from infinity of size and infinity of number.
4. God is immutable, incapable of change on the levels of God’s essence and character.
5. God is one, without diversification within God’s self. The unity of God is such that God’s essence is the same as God’s existence. In Aquinas’s words, “in itself the proposition ‘God exists’ is necessarily true, for in it subject and predicate are the same.”
St. Thomas Aquinas’s second divine quality contradicts the commandments which are stated in the bible or “The Book of God”. Remember God is perfect, lacking nothing. However, in the commandments he is jealous of other gods that you have before him, and is angered if you lie or take his name or anyone of the churches name in vain. In these time the church was a major authority in state affairs. Therefore we needed a way to control the population.

The 5th commandment states “thou shalt not kill”. It is further stated that, “However, other methods of protecting society (incarceration, rehabilitation) are increasingly available and more in keeping with other Christian moral teaching. Catholics (along with many Protestants) also consider abortion sinful and a violation of this commandment. War, if rigorous conditions of moral legitimacy are met (that is, the “use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated”), is not a violation because “governments cannot be denied the right of lawful self-defense, once all peace efforts have failed.”
Fighting over the “Holy Land” has taken place since the beginning. If there was a God why is there all this fighting over him? His commandments state thou shalt not kill. Is not war just another way to kill legally? As it states in the 2nd commandment use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated. So a war over land that is deemed holy is not justifiable by a lesser evil taking out a greater evil by use of force. So again I have to wonder, why is it that what is considered to be the holy land, the Jews and other cultures oversees are fighting for possession over it?
God according to John 3:16 it stated we are given forgiveness for all sins to be committed and those that have been committed. Therefore all commandments are irrelevant because you can repent at life’s end and be forgiven for all inequities. So if this is true then it contradicts anything that the commandments or anyone else in the church says to another about behavior or the “right” thing to do.

You all need to have a less narrow-minded view of the world. Islam although has been used by corrupt men (such as terrorists) is not an “evil religion” nor is ANY other religion. Every reilgion has its extremes (take the thousands of christian cults around the world). What you must look at is the teachings of the religion.
All of you claim to be experts in Islam saying it is a “evil,corrupt,and violent” religion. Have any of you studied Islam? Read the Qu’ran? If not, you have no place to question other peoples faiths or making any false claims about it. Every person finds God through different ways, it is not our job to question them on that. Personally I know that there are millions of peaceful muslims around the world and it is a shame that we are so consumed with hate from Al’Queda and other groups that we can no longer differenciate between the terrorists and the religion they worship.
My personal belief is that no religion is right or wrong, they are merely perspectives. Every religion (even Islam) teaches that good deeds will help you become closer to God (or the universe, or whatever name the religion gives it). This should also lead to happiness and freedom from suffering. Hateful deeds will lead you away from God and only bring you suffering and pain. Everyone sees this in their own way (as many of you do) and SO LONG AS IT MAKES YOU A GOOD PERSON THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.
On terms with the Crusades (which was the question), my impression was that it was mearly a political struggle disguised under the veil of religion. Almost every religious conflict (even modern-day ones) are really for political power. As this article points out, the Muslims were not mearly “minding their own buisness” when the crusaders arrived. They had been building a vast empire, fighting many peoples Christians, Jews, and non-religious peoples. They claim this was for Islam, but the truth was that the people in charge simply wanted more land, wealth, and power. Now, the Christian crusaders were hardly innocent either. To them, the Holy Lands provided control of important trade, helped European Lords consolidate their power, and most importantly gave the crusders increadible amounts of wealth. Both sides used religion to inspire their troops and give them the zeal they needed. It also helped them deal with the realities and horrors of war. So to sum it up, neither side was innocent, they both had religious motivations backed by many un-religious ones.

What right do you have to condem others? The teritory that Jerusalem lies in has been fought over for centuries. Both sides have equal claims on it. It is up to them to figure out who it should go to. Also, Muslims are not evil people the whole first part of the Koran is the exact samething as the Torah and the frist five books of the Bilbe. Christans, Muslims, and Jews are all monotheistic, are People of the Book, and we all believe in the same God, even if he goes by a different name. If you can understand this then you have no reason to be even writinf about it.

I don’t understand how any of you have the right to condemn other peoples beliefs. Who really knows what religion is the right one, being that there is so many. I think what people need to understand is that these beliefs aren’t going to be silenced, so they might as well deal with it in a mature and responsible manner. Maybe then there wouldn’t be so much violence and distrust in the world today.

How can you say that « the crusaders only invaded lands that were Christian ». Not only were Syria, Palestine, Anatolia mostly Muslim by the time they got there, but the crusaders also raided Mecca itself (you did not know this, did you ? check the facts, open any biography of Renaud de Châtillon), Tunisia (learn about Saint Louis), Egypt (ditto), and even pagan lands in the Baltic states (I’ll concede that those are not the same crusades).
And even against the conquered Christians (Eastern and Western) and Jews, the Crusaders did not hesitate in commiting mass murders. Actually, that’s why they got expelled in the first place! The Muslim invaders in the 7th century got there because the people could not bear the Byzantines any more, the Crusaders got there because of Muslim infighting (Arabs vs Turks), and they got expelled because the people could not bear them anymore.
A good reading on this subject is « the crusades, as seen by the Arabs », by Amin Maalouf (though he writes in French and I don’t know whether this has been translated).
